Potential Star
Potential Star
In Potential Star, Ron Silver explores the illusion of celebrity through the seemingly glamorous life of Brad Pitt. He points out that behind the mask, Pitt’s a normal guy with the exact same problems as the rest of us. Potential Star encourages us to find the humor in our culture’s obsession with celebrity and at the same time ask, “how can I be helpful?” Instead of fame, we might be better off focusing on how we can make the world a better place, a potential that we each have. What can you offer?

Geoffrey Bridgman is a bookbinder and lives in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Inspired by a love of old books, Bridgman first approached bookbinding as a way of presenting his own writing. He has been heavily inspired by the handbound grimoire tradition in the occult community and the culture around bookbinding. Bridgman learned to make books at the Center for the Book Arts in New York City and began his trade running a limited edition press and writing collective called The Enthusiast.
